Game drives are available to Mkuzi Game Reserve and private game ranches in our custom-built open safari vehicles. Only 16km from the inn, Mkuzi Game Reserve is a bird watcher's paradise. Highly recommended is a walk through the fig forest where sycamore fig tress tower amongst fever trees and the haunting cries of trumpeter hornbills create a surrealistic scene in one of the rarest forest types in South Africa. To round off the day, spend the late afternoon elephant tracking in the Pongola Game Reserve, or delight in the thrill of hooking a tiger fish in the waters of Jozini.
